Born in the UK, I have been lucky enough to have lived all over the world: from the sunbleached environs of Iran, Saudi, Jordan and Iraq -- to the cultured, historic cities of Europe and the Mediterranean, including Greece, Belgium and in North Africa: Libya - I also washed up ashore on some beautiful caribbean islands, the jewel of which has to be Bermuda with its wealth of history and beautiful vistas, here I commuted to work each day via ferry, past tiny islands where clear turquoise water laps up against the shore and men in Bermuda shorts carrying briefcases sat alongside cheerful tourists on the 15minute ferry ride into Hamilton - great way to start the day!
Each country has inspired me differently, as each place enjoys its own unique style and colour pallet, landscape, art, history, architecture, humour and way of life. I constantly strive to learn from these individual characteristics and incorporate the individuality of the moment into each painting.
